BASEMENT WINDOW STORY
|
The Acumold Basement Window is designed and produced by a new proprietary process which greatly reduces production cost and greatly improves appearance and quality.
This window features a patented integral hinge system which eliminates protruding parts allowing for more efficient stacking, handling and packaging of the finished product. Additionally, the hinge and locking systems have no metal parts to rust or corrode. The Acumold Basement window can be quickly and easily changed between hopper and awning configurations and the patented hinge allows for fully open and partially open sash positions in both the hopper and awning configurations.
The basement window material is lightweight but extremely strong and impact resistant and requires only two main fabrication steps to produce a finished window:
1. Installation of insulated or single glass unit.
2. installation of weather seal.
A recess is provided in the frame for an optional drop-in screen and the one piece lock snaps in at the push of a finger The frame and sash are both one piece and are assembled by virtually dropping the sash into the frame.
The completed unit is the best-looking unit available on the market today, with a smooth, seamless frame and sash. The frame features soft appealing contours while the sash has a picture-frame beveled face.
